4. type "nature" into google and select "photos" then select "large images" and look for ones that are 1280x1024, you'll get some great pics that way and it's really easy.

6. First, avoid any website that says wallpapers. I teach tech to kids and this is what we do (they love it). Go to Google (or yahoo), and search for nature, waterfalls, whatever, then click on "images". Google has a drop-down box to select the size of the images (upper-left...Large, Med, Small), and Yahoo has links on the upper right for sizes. Both have the dimensions of the picture below the thumbnail. After you select a pic, both will show the pic again as a thumbnail above the site it's from. You can click it again to open it and save it, make it your desktop background right away, or whatever (right-click the pic for options). Many sites that say "wallpapers" are notorious for slamming ad-ware, uploading bots and spyware into peoples computers. It's easier and more peaceful on the mind to just isolate the picture.
7. Oh wow download webshots. It has the most beautiful pics to download and most of them are free. You can do a search for just about anything. My favorite searches were for "old doors" "old windows" or "old cottages in England or Ireland" but you can pick any sequence of words and search.
8. try 'magentic', google it. lots of selections to choose from..even randomly change ur wallpaper for u if u like
